Resumen: The shoreline of Venezuela has, in general, been affected with very little concern for coastal hazards; human influence has been very important in terms of modifications and actions. This study contents the analysis of Venezuela's Central Coastline conditions and their evaluation since 1930's in terms of the perception of coastal hazards, susceptibility, and cost evaluation using California's Master Plan method. For this purpose, we have analyzed a series of aerial pictures taken between late 1930's and 1995, site evaluations and historical events compilation. The total cost evaluation is then compared with the results given by the study of the anthropogenic caused losses. We have specially studied human influence on coastal hazards conditions. Our conclusions will provide information of the human influence on coastal hazards in Venezuela's Central Coastline; where mitigation measures could be undertaken through regulation and territorial ordination
