PDVSA says Jose is completely in normal operation

Barcelona.- In a joint inspection with the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), Captain William Riut, the Address State Authority's Ministry for the Environment in Anzoátegui, Neyra Fuenmayor and Executive Director of Environment PDVSA, Ramiro Ramirez, confirmed that there is no cause for alarm by the contingency in the maneuver loading of the R / T "Haribi".

Because of the inspection, it is asked the people in general do not echo the irresponsible information seeking to magnify and alarm about the event.  People rely on expert staff performance through the Contingency Plan.

With inspection and flight over the bay adjacent to the Industrial Complex Jose Antonio Anzoátegui (CIJAA), PDVSA Socialista officials, and governing bodies in the field, were able to observe the progress of work by the contingency presented at dawn today.

As promptly it was informed by the state oil and following the protocol in this type of event, it advances with the cleaning result of decoupling automatic hose connecting the tanker to the single monobuoy located east of Terminal Storage, Shipment of Crude Jose Antonio Anzoátegui (TAECJAA).

This incident did not affect routine tasks from the point of view of processes and operational reliability of the complex of extra-heavy crude upgrading CIJAA, or alter the clearance of goods through TAECJAA terminals.

The Harbor Master, Bolivarian National Guard Coast National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA), officials from the Department of Environment and State Authority PDVSA personnel, maintain a permanent monitoring including over flight of the area to verify the status of waters to avoid the involvement of the north coast and in particular to ensure the enjoyment of the beaches of Puerto Piritu and surrounding areas.
