PDVSA serves pipeline rupture in Potrerito

Maturin.- Due to the rupture of a pipeline of 8 ", located in el  caserío Potrerito, Cedeño municipality, Monagas state, the East Production Executive, through the Division Furrial and Executive Management of  trade and Supply, activated a contingency plan to control immediately the incident involving the diesel pipeline belonging to the Plant Sisor Maturin.

The event occurred on Wednesday, after a machine belonging to a contractor impacted with the pipe when it was working to expand the national route.  However, PDVSA took control of the situation and appointed a research committee that will determine the causes for this event.

As a preventive action, and with the cooperation of law enforcement, was partially closed the traffic via Furrial-Potrerito while it is culminated the work of sanitation and control.

This incident did not cause human damage, environmental, or affect the production associated with Executive Offices of East Production and Trade and Supply.  A team of workers of Petróleos de Venezuela is held in place by executing the necessary actions to take control of the situation.
